#SayNoToXenephobia

#SayNoToXenephobia
The #SayNoToXenephobia was formed soon after the foreign nationals were attacked by the citizens of South Africa who were alleging that foreigners are taking their jobs. This campaign was formed to create peace between the the victims and fellow South Africans.

The campaign really opened so many people’s eyes in South Africa and the neighboring countries, because most people started to see everyone as their brother or sister, they started not to mind what language or color of the person seating next to them, but accepted each other and give all the support they can.

It helped to reduce the violence and make the people who had wrong thoughts about foreigners to come to their senses, because some people do not think that immigrants can contribute in a good way to our country. All they have is negative thoughts about them, the think that immigrants are in south Africa to commit crime or take the jobs of South Africans, which is not true, they are given jobs because they qualify for the jobs, if South Africans can have the same qualification they can also be granted the same jobs. For example the hospital cannot hire someone who doesn’t even have matric to be a nurse or doctor, they have to look at the qualifications.
What the government can do to avoid such things is to encourage citizens to be educated and by putting more resources into education and not wasting it on unnecessary things.SayNoToXenephobia on facebook

The leader should also look at what they say and look at the people who they are saying it to, because our leaders and others in high positions have a powerful influence in their statements, actually their statements are powerful weapons and need to be used carefully and responsibly.youth against xenephobia

  1. African is united,i hope that our fellow brothers and sisters learn that we do not have to hate each other but to show love and respect to African immigrants, because killing and burning them is not a solution to our unemployment rate, they are also here to seek freedom.
